Parents
We know you have entrusted us with your most valuable asset, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. We hope to challenge each student daily and to share in the success each has as they move toward reaching their potential. This mission takes a strong level of trust and support from everyone involved. Please share your concerns and successes as we work together at making this year at Maple Elementary a huge success for all our students, parents, and teachers.
You can access shortcuts to the online tools you need by clicking the Parents link at the top of this webpage. Below, you'll find links to additional resources for your experience at Maple.
School Improvement Goals
- All Maple students will improve their writing across the curriculum.
- All Maple students will show improvement in problem solving across the curriculum. (View our problem-solving poster.)
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS)
Maple utilizes PBIS school-wide. Each classroom will use a color-based system for classroom management. Each student will have a clothespin and start on green each day. Students can move up or down the behavior banner based on choices they make. They will earn rewards or consequences based on each color.
A weekly behavior log will be kept in your child's take home folder all week, so you will be informed of your child's behavior daily. Please sign this form and return it each Monday.
In addition, each teacher will teach 20 days of behavior expectation lesson plans during the first four weeks of school. We have student-created videos to help teach and reinforce these expected behaviors.
