Elementary Students Dream and Plan for the Future
Avon's elementary students are enjoying 'College Go Week' during the week of September 20-24. It gave them an opportunity to dream and plan for the future.
Each day, students in our six elementary schools have been celebrating together:
- Monday was Bright Future Day - Students celebrated their bright futures by wearing neon colors.
- Tuesday was Launch your Future Day - Students dressed for their future careers.
- Wednesday was College Day - Students wore their favorite college colors and gear.
- Thursday was Military Appreciation Day - Students wore camo to recognize future members of the armed forces.
- Friday was Your Future Starts Here Day - Students showed their school spirit by wearing black and gold.
Mental Wellness Coordinator Krista Fay says, "[our elementary schools] have collaborated to make this a unified spirit week to help students dream and plan for the future."
